I painted some wrought iron that I let rust for awhile with my clear surfboard epoxy resin, looks killer but it gives it a glossy wet look, looks like it will be there from now until Hell freezes over.

I did wash it very well and then cleaned with denatured alcohos and painted with a brush

Also if you donīt want to use the surfboard resin(40 to 50 $ per gal.), here at the hardware store they are now selling and acylic epoxy paint in cans, I did an area of the iron with that and seems it works about as well only goes on thinner. I painted the iron with a brush, if you spray epoxy, you need to be pretty quick and clean your gun quick before it starts to go off.

I assume that since their is an acylic epoxy avai. in a spray can, that it would be avai. by the gal.
