A mate up in Queensland has been doing his old 'cruiser and D7 with diesel every year just before the wet season - seems to keep them looking good. Cruiser is about a 70 model and the D7 is a '37 - been doing this since the mid 70's. He washes any excess junk off with a hp washer, lets it dry a couple days, then brushes on some diesel, wipes off any excess next day. He doesn't rush things as he's same age as me and also likes a bourbon and bbq in between stages.
