8665354 is the serial number for a 1941 1/2 ton 4wd military truck. It could have been any number of things originally, from a open cab pickup to an Ambulance.
83310071 is the serial number for a 1947 WD-21 or 1 ton 2wd truck.
Can you share pictures of these trucks? Were the numbers you shared on tags, or on the frame?
I have found Power Wagons with tags off of 2wd trucks before, I am guessing the original tag was lost (or the title) and the tag and title off a 2wd was used to register the truck.
It is also common to see 1939-1947 2wd truck cabs added to open cab WWII truck, so maybe that is what the 83310071 truck is?
