I can't think of any vehicle more suitable for slow speed work with the exception of, maybe, a tractor.
Put it in low range and let it idle. How long can the parades be? Certainly not a lot of turns.
Uncomfortable and hard to drive? Think about those guys on the steam tractors. And, they look like they are having a lot of fun. They can't be in it for the money.
