No telling what else was put in the forge . They even picked up about . 1% lead . None of this material should be detectable at these levels in a forge . About the only thing that we should have found was iron and that came in at about 1 % . Everything else was pretty much the chunk of brick that got sent in .
Even iron dust is toxic . After 2 hrs of welding the prefilters on my air mask are quite scary looking and that is with a vent system running .

If I had a choice between lead , cad and zinc I would say that the zinc is the one to get tagged with . BUT when i have worked with the stuff the surface has to be ground before welding . This is not a minor incident . I would like to be around enough to enjoy my Carryall .
