Veterinarians are doctors too, pets get most of the same antibiotics....and a vets x-ray machine works just like the one at the hospital. I have a family friend who has never been to a doctor except for one time there was an accident on the farm and he went to the vet to find out if his arm was broken...it was...and he got it splinted there too....off the record.
