glad to hear that the system works for you. i was misdiagnosed by the NHS the UK and told i had strep. given antibiotics and sent back to work. upon arriving in the us, i was properly diagnosed immediately and began proper course of treatment. in the us I have great health care that allows my family to see any doctor for any hospital. costs my company (i own it) approx 12k per year with a small employee kick in. we provide same benefits to all employees. quality costs. whether you pay for it, or the govt pays for it, it costs money for good care. my belief is the govt is a black hole when it comes to money. you throw dollars in the top and pennies come out the end. in the US if you work and are responsible, you will have coverage. if you wait for others to come to your rescue, you might be SOL. not perfect here either.
