Then your WM300 Pitman arm should pull right on. You should not feel a hard stop. You should be able to hand start it, then use the nut to pull it on a ways. Remove the nut, put on the washer and pull her home.
If for some reason the Pitman Arm will not pull on and your sure its hitting a hard stop, its possible your rebuilder might have put a wrong output shaft in the box.
