I watched that movie when it came out, I was 11. Scared the heck out of me, always remembered it and only saw part of it once after that. Saw the end again once with the spinning wheel, tire ribs clickig against the weed at the bottom of the canyon with and blood dripping off the steering wheel. We had a Plymouth Duster with the same temp gauge as the Valiant, I recognized those gauges on the Valient, probably grabbing my attention at the time, plus Weaver's look of desperation glancing back and forth between the rearview mirror and the temp gauge creeping into the red, banging the steering wheel - heck, I'm going to rent that movie!
