The later design uses a rubber bushing with a steel tube inside. The bolt clamps the steel in place, and the motion all happens in the rubber, flexing rotationally. No lube, no metal on metal rotation.
But you might be able to disassemble both springs, and reassemble with the Dodge main leaf? Or just add one leave? Spring center bolts are available locally.
