I just thought it worth mentioning in case it happened to be the easy solution. The good thing is it's usually not too hard to take apart most hydraulic stuff and see what's wrong, which is usually an o-ring that needs replacing. The oil keeps everything clean and shiny and the parts are designed to be repaired.
