Please list exactly what type and hp air compressor you used and what exact air impact, size, gov settings and what did you set the gun on when u were zipping back and forth on the bolt, did u set the impact gun to 100 psi and hit it once for 2 seconds wait, hit it again, reverse and again or did you turn it down low like where the impact is just barely hammering the bolt to try to shock it out and then reversre it, how many seconds did you go back and forth before u turned up the psi on the impact gun or did u have to do this on a bolt by bolt basis with experience and touch thats hard to explain to some like me. I used to use a similar system on Cat D352 and D1300 and D353 d8 nd d9 motors, we used to heat up tuff bolts or studs and then spray the bolt or nut with a cold mixture of home made wd-40 in a 1 dollar spray bottle, it had casing head gasoline in it with some turptine and some 10 weight oil and some stp, the heat to the bolt was to expand it and the cooler penetrant was to try to shrink it as well as hit any rusty area to shock loose the stuck threads. Sometimes it did not work and we stripped a bolt but not that many vs just tugging on a head bolt with a torgue multipler or a long cheater bar and putting too much on it and ruining the bolt and thread in block. I never used the wax method but have an idea its pretty good for bolts.
