From the look of Legacy's site, he has done ONE PW, One GM, one Dodge 1 1/2t, and a tractor.

I think his budget is about $35,000 parts, leaving about $55k labor. He farms out paint & body, and interior. 600 hours is probably his own time as welder and mechanic. And overhead in Jackson aint' cheap. Some $75 per hour shop time is about what the tare is here in So. Cal.

But it still comes down to how many customers are out there? Can he find them? How many does he need? I guess the Saudi's are still buying.

I remember once upon a time hearing that a ritzy car company can sell 100 per year, for $100,000 each. That was in the days of the Excaliber, on a Buick chassis. I suppose the price would be up to $200k, but the quantity still 100?

Hmm, I wonder what the percentage of hot rods are purchased as new, complete, vs home shop jobs?
