I see the 'bottom stamping' from the 70's bracket. but I think the pic is inverted? Is that pic from underneath? In which case, we shouldn't be able to see the stamping, unless you cut a honking big piece out of the bottom frame flange?
Or did your box turn the wrong way, so you mounted it from the top, necessitating the big frame cut out? Or you mounted yours further forward? or higher? The status quo is to use the o.e. location. The steering shaft sticks through the frame hole, and even if things were to break loose, the box can't move far since neither the pitman arm nor the box will fit through the hole.
