I have had them about every 2 years for over 15 years . Each time the heart beat has to hit a level a little bit lower than last time . Max heart rate is based on age . When you are 100 all you have to do is stand on the tread mill . They will not turn it on .
On my first test the doctor asks me if i am a runner . I say no and he comments on my low heart rate . Anyways they got the machine running full rate and the ramp is at it's maximum slope and the nurse calls the doctor over and complains that she can not get my heart rate up into the zone . The doc says to run me for an extra 3 -5 minutes . Part way in to overtime another doctor walks by and says " hey I have never seen that before " he looks at the first doctor and says " come check this out "
Turns out my heart rate had started to drop off while I was running my darn legs off . I had to tell them " Uh guys I got to stop or I am going to puke ,, i hate running "
Anyways there was more to it and 6 - 8 doctors and nurse looking at the monitor .
" no one has ever done that before "
" I do not think the machine has ever run at it's limits before '
" Are you sure you do not run "
" maybe there was something wrong with the machine '
and to top it off another patient got off his machine and looked at my monitor too . The guy is hooked up to all these wires and he is standing there looking at me and the monitor and shaking his head .

Tooooo funny
