Tim,
Good to see you again and I had a great visit. Hope you make good use of the parts.
The W200 I bought last year was a nice find. As you know, I like survivor trucks; original paint, unmolested is what spins my wheels. Found this one in Ohio...original owner and was ordered with some nice options: Close ratio 445 trans, heavy duty gauges, bucket seats, factory A/C, west coast mirrors, LU-2 winch, warn hubs,4.10 diffs,HD suspension,318 engine etc. Original owner was an aircraft mechanic on a carrier during WW2 and Korea I believe. Guy was meticulous with maintenance including oil changes every 2,000 miles since new. He supplied me with a log of everything that had been done to the truck since new. He got sick in the mid 80's and parked the truck in his garage. Said he started it once a month but basically it hadnt been driven since 1985. Never took it out in the rain and always garaged since day 1. Anyway.....I flew to Ohio from Florida..jumped in the truck and drove it back to Fl without a hiccup....testimony to the great care the truck had during its life. I've been enjoying it for the past year and intend to keep this one till they take my license away for old age.
Hope to see you at the WVa. rally this year! Keep in touch Tim
