I pulled the whole radiator/cowl unit off the truck, per your suggestion. Aside from the typical rusted stuck bolts, PB Blaster all over the place, it came off fairly easily. So the radiator will go to the shop for a checkup and the cowl will be much easier to work on. Thanks for the help. Jerry
