My vote would be to keep it as original as possible.Nothing beats the feeling you get from driving these trucks with the air blowing up through the various holes in the floor,drive train noises and the roar of the old flat head. I use mine as a truck and do what I can to keep it from deteriorating while maintaining the rustic look.As Dave said these trucks have stories to tell.
