Dave, I bought my first about 3 1/2 yrs ago, it was a driver and needed some work but not much. my first intent was to paint and fix up as good as I could, (cannot afford a resto), but as I became aquainted with my truck the farther away the paint seemed, until now I think I'm going to do a traditional paint job for the time,(brush+bucket) it has already had one so another won't hurt. my truck had 33,000 and some miles on it when I got it, it now has 44,000+ so you know I drive the old girl. I let her flex her muscles every once in a while(do you want to know what a pw looks like with 6500lbs of sand on the back?) to sadisfie my hotrod bug I put on 2x1s and split exaust. my truck has told me she likes what we do together, we dive into the mud on occaision and do well enough, when we are out people look at the old girl and say wow! I'll bet that thing will go anywhere, to which I reply, yes it will!! whatever you decide to do with your truck is your decison, but give her a chance to win your heart first, you won't be sorry!!
