Lots of guys have tried to make campers out of dodge ambulances. I don't know how successful they've been. They're not as roomy inside as you'd think. I have an M43 I'm planning to do that with, but I've been looking at it hard enough that I'm aware of the limitations, like no way to stand up inside, and no practical place to set up a kitchen. Plus, they usually gut out all the ambulance stuff, which I would like to keep, at least in a way that's easy to put back in. Mine was a coastal truck with a lot more bondo'd over rust holes than I thought when I bought it. Now the bondo is coming off and I'm looking at re-doing much of it. Also, when water gets down inside the double-walled ambulance body it rusts both sides from the inside out.

I appreciate the seller being honest about the rust, but that looks like a parts truck to me. Or maybe it should just be a huntin' rig with no attempt to restore anything. Just get it running, get the winch working, and drive it as is. Hopefully the owner's hunting spot doesn't require any highway driving to get to.
