Willys referred to the truck in all of its sales literature as a 1-ton. It is interesting that neither the Willys nor the Power-Wagon really compared evenly to other 1-tons on the market at the time. I won't say any more on that. I'll be nice and leave the reader to develop their own opinions on the subject. ;^)

What I find even more interesting is that I have a 1950 parts list from the Monroe Auto Equipment Company covering the Monroe 3-point Hitch that was available for the rear of the Willys pickup (Very similar to those Monroe units used on the Jeep Universals). In it, it lists the Jeep pickup as a 1-1/2 ton model.
