You can make a set of dually chains out of two sets of single chains, if you can pry the cross-links loose from one side chain, and then hook them over the side chain of the other unit, in between its cross-links. I'm making up a set of dually chains for my wrecker that way, but the chains are hardened and I'm having a time getting the hooks loose and then pounded back down without breaking them. May have to apply the torch and anneal them so I can bend them. Most chains I've worked on, the hooks are not hardened like that.

I'm sure dually chains are available. I think that surplus store in southern Idaho had them, and probably any commercial tire shop or 6 Roblees could get them. There are a lot of easier setups that are okay for packed snow and ice on highways, but you can't beat real chains on all powered tires when the snow is deep.
