My younger son has an '03 with around 160k. He recently had to replace the injector pump and has in the past replaced the lift pump and injectors. My older son has an '04 with quite a lot less miles. The injector pump started leaking within warranty time and was replaced. Neither have had any issues other than normal maintenance.
I have noticed more problems with pump and injector failures on these newer trucks, and consider the decline in fuel quality to be the culprit. My '06 has 80k on it, and I am always adding fuel conditioner, hoping to extend it's life.
Soon after I bought my '06 I added a hub kit to the front, a Jake brake, bigger intercooler, and bigger air intake, and removed the muffler and the CAT.
