Never faded your brakes coming down a hill at 25 mph?

Or maybe they don't have hills where you come from?

Around here, I can drive a paved road to the top of a hill higher than anything east of the Mississippi. And I have faded my drum brakes on a hill inner-city. Two feet on the pedal, pulling up on the wheel, running the stop sign at the blind intersection and cutting across the highway at the bottom to turn left, or else I would have ended up in the river. (phew, what a sentence). I like discs, on the front. Rears are optional, even on new trucks today, except that they are self cleaning after being sunk in the mud.

Discs make heat in 10% of their arc, and give off heat in 90%. Lots of cooling.

Someday, I may even put some on my Dodge. ;)
