I would jack up the front end....just off the floor. Then take a long bar and a 4x4 block. With the bar under the tire, get rough, jack right up on the bar. See if you can make anything move that should not move. If all is OK, this will not hurt anything.
A friend had a top trunnion pin on the knuckle with broken welds. In the right conditions the knuckle would move and wobble. Yet to look at the wheel, all looked ok. One hard lift with the bar made the wheel tip in quite a ways. Thank goodness we found it before he lost the knuckle driving.
