the other theory is that the military uses a tremendous amount of diesel in their daily operations. regardless, the pricing is not able to easily explained away. it is cheaper to make and can be more widely distributed as there are fewer blends to deal with. its supply and demand compounded by what is more profitable for the refiners to produce.
