Nick,
On my 60 WM300 I had the windshield frame, door panels, kick panels, trim around the instruments and the trim around the headliner all powder coated. I have also had the wheels on my CJ3B powder coated. The PW was done in 2002 and the Jeep wheels last year. I have been very happy with the results and how it has held up over the years. But with that said, it doesn't see much bad weather. They are both kept inside when not in use and to be honest, they don't get used much.
My opion is, if your going to use it a lot and especially off road, why go to the expense of having things powder coated. You're going to ding it up anyway and as pointed out, the touch up will be a problem with powder coating. If I were doing this truck today I would do the same thing but if I planned on using one for the way they were ment to used, I wouldn't go to the added expense.
And that is my 2.5 cents worth.
