The drivers seat fits on a boxed frame that is welded to the floor. it goes part way up the center hump also. If it is not there you can possibly see where they cut the welds. Most of these seat boxes have been cut out when they put "new" seats in. Mine was gone when I bought my carryall. There is a small electrical box mounted to the the side wall just behind the driver's seat. This has nothing to do with the seat. It is the electrical box for the radio. It had a flexible conduit attached to it that went through the floor into the depression at the rear of the metal floor pan. On the passenger side it came back up through the floor and through the front of forward extension of the wheel well that forms the inside wall of the battery box.
