I just watched a short clip on Turner Classic Movies, concerning the filming of King Solomon's Mines in 1950. It was more like a commercial for Dodge trucks. MGM had 8 trucks sent over to Africa. Two 5 tons for props,a 1 ton with a front boom for loading, a refrigerated cargo,3 4x4 short buses and what looks like a 1 ton scout car. Cool shots of trucks in action. Jeff
