I think thats what he was getting at, th grease needs to heat up and bit and become a little viscous and get into the bearing. And thats what I was thinking but didnt convey, if it were packed full in a spot that doesnt get warm enough to make it viscous.....

now the free wheel hub bearing, thats another story. It obviuosly would get warm, but he warned me on puttin too much grease in it. I didnt pack the hub full, just a small pack around the outside edge of the hub itself
