That was funny.... until I read the word Chevy. I'm not even going to go there.

I already own two FFPW's- a '47 and a '54. My wife and I own two daily driver vehicles, and if one gives up the ghost, a stock FFPW is not going to cut it as a replacement. Having one as a wood-hauling, Sunday-cruising, parade truck is what the '54 is for (I dunno about the '47).

Mind you that the truck in the photo is still all Mopar, and practically modified. I don't have a Napoleonic complex to where I need 15x14 wheels with 38's, super swamper syle tires, and an 8" lift kit to make me feel better about myself. If the truck was sitting on a Blazer frame with a 350 in it, I'd probably vomit. It's not, though. There are people like Bill who have absolutely BEAUTIFUL original WM300's and took a lot of time, effort and money to get them there. I don't think I am bastardizing anything by contemplating something a little different. If all I was concerned about was originality, I'd tuck my tail between my legs and buy a Dakota... and have something that does the job, and looks like every other of the thirty million of them out there.

I respect and understand your point. If I could have (non-Chevy) disc brakes, power steering, a top speed over 50 and enough grunt to climb the hill to my house every night after work with ease, that would fit the bill. That is why the truck I mentioned sounds so appealing.
