carb is sealed on WCs. you have oil bath air cleaner then a pea trap elbow. the engine would die before any water could get in. dip stick tubes are usually a tight fit so no water there and the M 37 dipstick is water proof. Generators can handel temporary submerging just fine. alternators are more sensitive by design. The ignition system is the lowest problem point. probably 18 inches lower than the air intake. so for offroaders it is the first are to be concerned about.
