One side effect of camber is that, on a 4x4 front axle, the 1 degree of outward tilt is like the minimum angle in a u-joint of 1°- it keeps the internal axle parts moving in relation to each other, making sure grease gets worked in to the joints.

Another spec is for "king pin axis inclination". The two ball joints/knuckle pivots are actually at quite an angle, five degrees or so. This aims the steering axis closer to the center of the tire's road contact. The closer to the center of contact, the less load on tie rod ends, and the less preload on the front end in total. Bigger tires will move the center of contact in relation to the king pin axis, lessening that preload. Less preload might have some greater tendency to wander? Possible effect on death wobble? But that is definitely non-adjustable on our FFPWs. Perhaps additional caster would help add back some preload that is taken away by larger tires?
