Take the cover off. Push the pedal to the floor and jam it there. Get a putty knife or similar and tap it up between the plate and where it is stuck to. Do it slowly. Work your way around bit by bit. If this doesn't work - loosen the pressure plate bolts (or remove completely) - if the pressure plate drops down you know it's stuck to the flywheel only - repeat above procedure, then re-assemble.
If this doesn't work, you have to pull the trans and work your way in, and if it's this bad, recoe the lot.
