The two speed adapter changed the input, but the internals of the speedometer were always the same. This means that your speed and odometer should always be in sync. The two speed adapter just corrected for the gear change. If your speed is correct, but the odometer is off, then something is wrong internally. I can't even picture how that could happen, as the shaft that turns the needle runs the gear that turns the odometer.
