PW speedo

For those of you that know something about the workings of the speedometer, do you know if the speedo on the second series power wagons (1952 B-3) is the same as the speedo for the other Dodge trucks of that year?
I know the PW speedo is driven off the transfer case. I assume the 2wd ones are driven off the transmission.
I have my original speedo in the shop now because the odometer is turning over about twice as fast as it should...could it have come from a different truck?
