I get my sand from a brick and mortar supplier as you mentioned. 80 or 100 lb bags and nice stuff. My set up suits me it just takes me some time to do.

I blast in an old bank barn with plastic on the floor so it stays dry and I can reuse. Takes about 10 minutes to get going.

I'm spolied as I used one of those "Big Boy"
blasters that had an 1 1/2 or 2 opening on the hose. Ran off a V8 motor that fired on 4 and pumped air with the other 4. MAN, that thing would flat get it. We were cleaning up Farm equipment(fertilizer spreaders) for repaint.
