But four stacks of 3/4" blocks ought to do. 16 pcs about 6" square?

And another stack to use under the bar, as a fulcrum.

Stop half way down, disassemble your pipe clamps, put pipes between base and floor, and roll it to it's permanent home. You want at least three pieces of pipe, keep two under, replace the third one from back to front as it rolls along. Careful, they roll very easy. Not much friction between pipe and floor. Place incoming pipe at an angle to turn the machine.

One of life's little challenges.

Looks like a nice machine, wish it was mine. I've only got a half-scale Clausing. Never the less, it does just about everything I need, I just wish it ran slower. No back gear on it.
