Next year I'm bringing suburban yard clippings. We drove through the flower district. They were selling debris. I kid you not. We would have made a fortune if we had a brush pile in the bed. Superb driving by Ken! As we entered the Parade,
Ken jockeyed us into the lead position solo. The parade guy with the windbreaker,clipboard,plastic badge, whistle and a bad tupee, suggested we should go three wide up 5th Ave. Ken nods, yeah sure, OK. We affix our USO sticker (compliments of the Andrews Sisters) and take the lead 1 wide. Whats the tupee guy gonna do chase us.ahahahaha.then a slow crawl up 5th Ave. cheering crowds, hand made signs, little kids waving flags. Overflowing crowds at intersections making a dash in front of us trying to go about their regular workday.
The BEST part was when the MTA of NJ convoy came out the Lincoln tunnel. The fuzzy foreigners, who had no idea it was Veterans Day, thought NYC was being invaded by New Jersey. ahahah They were standing there with their mouths hanging open. I knew it was gonna be a good day!
