Book says that WJs came with a 282 ci flattie, not the 330. They were rated at 18K GVW. The A means it's got a two speed rear. Most of the two speed rears were Eatons with 5.83/8.11 gears.
There would probably be enough room for a 5.9 in there, though. The inside of the nose should get you a few inches on top of the larger engine bay.
