I had a student years ago bring a wheel seal to me, wanting to order some. I asked what the part number was and he said he could not read it. I encouraged him and another kid to try to figure it out.
They were standing under a light, squinting. One was holding it, reading the character one at a time, turning the seal as he read.
M......E......X......I......C......O.
Then they laughed.
That was the beginning of all this imported crap.
