My neigbor, who is what I call a master mechanic, has used Jasper for years. One of things he likes about them is that they stand behind their product with the shops that install the stuff too. Out of many engines and transmisssion he has got from them, once he noted a minor problem with a filter or something, and made a call to them and they made good on it right on the spot.
Another time, a customer wanted a cheaper re builder, and when there was a major problem he found during the installation he had to haggle on the phone with that brand "X" rebuilder.
In his mind the fact that it costs a bit more for Jasper is well worth the peace of mind of the customer support they have and the warranty.
When my son's Jeep needed a new engine (4.0 six cylinder in line), we went with Jasper due to the neighbors recommendation.
