I just bought a 2001 CTD auto. the truck acts like it's had a programmer on it at one time and was pulled in order to sell. the shift points on the truck are all messed up and it does not seem to know when to shift. now the question, how hard is it to reprogram the trans to the stock shift points? if I lean on the truck it will hold first gear to 3800rpm which is way more than I like! the trans does not slip at all and shifts nice and firm when it does shift. it is also erratic at where it shifts. so I'm thinking programer. any thoughts??
