I once had a problem (around 1985) with a Remington .22 LR ctg. that was obviously defective. I sent the spent cartridge to Remington because I thought they needed to know about it. Got a BS letter in response telling me there was something wrong with my rifle (not a Remington). Haven't purchased anything with the Remington name on it since.
