It happened to me. I don't remember pulling the trigger with the saftey on but you do have to take the saftey off or move it to the fire position before operating the bolt to unload the rifle. In my case I was unloading the rifle while talking with the local police, he was checking my written permission to deer hunt an area here in KY.I asked permission to unload and put the rifle up as he was walking towards his car, he gave the OK and thats when it happened. I had the rifle pointed in a safe direction, finger NO where near the trigger, was easing the safety off and BOOM! One very understanding cop and about a six inch gouge in the pavement and everyones OK. I loved hunting with that rifle but will never again, it has been fixed but there is just something of an uncertianty with it that I just can't get past.
