It will not affect your compression. It might give you a slight exhaust leak. If you take the 4 bolts out to replace the gasket, just assume they will break. It is not fun getting those bolts of the intake manifold. If you replace this gasket, there is a way to make sure to get things lined up.

Loosely bolt the intake and exhaust manifolds together. They must be able to move. Clean up the block and both manifolds where they join. Now bolt the intake and exhaust manifolds to the block WITHOUT any gaskets. Just snug the bolts. Now tighten the 4 bolts that hold the intake and exhaust manifolds together. Now unbolt them from the block. You should be able to place the block mating surface of the manifolds on a flat surface. There should be no gaps (they can be machined if they are really bad). Now mount the manifold assembly to the block with the gaskets installed.
