Let me elaborate a little further on this issue.
What I am planning to do is convert my '63 W-300 cab & chassis with rear duals to a single wheel setup so I can use the 9' Utiline box I got last month.
I got the box off of a '64 D-300 with single wheel. I originally was just going to swap the rear end from the D-300 to the "W" but I wasn't sure if the drum/hubs are interchangable between the two. Also, not sure the gear ratios are the same.
So it appears I can either stay on course and swap the whole assembly and possibly have to change the gearing, or find/make adapter to get the wheel where I want it on the "W"
