FFPW Door Skin Removal??

I've got a pair of great doors that had outside mirrors screwed to em. I'm having a hard time reaching inside to hammer out/in the holes so that I can can weld em.

The perfectionist in me wants to pull the skins. Then I could hammer finish, blast and paint the interior of the doors.

The realist in me says, "Whoa Stupid"

Anyone pop their door skins and have good results gettin em back together?
