I really cant say any more, I went from stock 28's to 36s and chopped away but that was 11 years ago or so. Might be able to run a 33 and not rub if you go skiiny tire on stock rim. Just get out the tape measure and start looking, turn wheels to full lock both ways and see how much room you have before somting hits. One of my work trucks was a 84 W200 with 4 inch lift and 33/12.5x16.5 on 9.75 rims. Looked nice and tires didnt rub.
Rearching the front springs 2 inches will also clear 33's but seem to rember having to trim back of fenders a bit and tucking fender well behind lip of fender so that it woudnt fold up if tire did bump it.
