My '54 C-1-PW had the original MOPAR model 65 heater that had the windshield defroster set up. The Model 65 is 6 volt. My "new" W300M has the Model 75 which is 12 volt. They are identical otherwise. To see the Model 75, go to "Paul's W300M" on my website. The rusty round piece on the front will be cleaned up and painted the original silver-gray. The heater box is black. The small duct "box" on the lower right side that feeds the ducts to the window defrosters is just barely visable. The hinged door on the bottom of the heater box that puts air on the floor - mostly the passenger's feet - can be seen in the open position. Both these original heaters are shown in the MOPAR Power Wagon Parts List. I have been searching through J.C. Whitney catalogs since 1958 and they have featured many add-on heaters that fit various vehicle firewall punch-outs. In the 1950's passenger cars still came without factory heaters, so many add-ons that were close to factory options were available.
